Lines Photography began over a decade ago when our founder, Simon Chege, transitioned from the Kenyan music scene to photography after his images gained more attention than his performances. Starting with a simple Sony camera, Simon’s passion evolved into a full-fledged business. Officially established in 2016 after purchasing his first professional camera, our name “Lines Photography” was inspired by Simon’s stage name “Mistari” (Swahili for “Lines”). Today, we’re one of Kenya’s premier photography studios with a reputation for excellence and creating memorable experiences.
We specialize in creating stunning imagery across multiple photography disciplines including family portraits, product photography, event coverage, professional headshots, real estate photography, wedding documentation, beauty sessions, and documentary storytelling. Our commitment to excellence has attracted major brands including Red Bull Kenya, where we served as lead photographers for three years, alongside work with Amaize Premium Maize Flour, ICEA Lion, and NHIF. Beyond our commercial services, we’ve spent over seven years nurturing “Learning with Lines,” Kenya’s largest photography community, where we empower and educate aspiring photographers.
